Megan McDuffee is currently pursuing a Master's Certificate in Orchestration for Film and Television through the Berklee School of Music. She is now a member of ASCAP.

In June 2008, Megan received a B.A. in Film Scoring and a minor in Electronic Music from the University California Santa Cruz. During her four years at UCSC she actively studied musicianship in piano, voice, music theory, and composition.

Megan grew up in Novato, California (located in the San Francisco Bay Area) and began studying piano in both group and private lessons when she was eight. She received private voice lessons throughout high school and college. Megan has performance experience in jazz choir, show choir, musicals, community youth choir, concert choirs, highly selective chamber ensembles, and a highly selective Electronic Music program. Megan has performed in prestigious competitions in foreign countries, electronic music concerts, and intimate benefit shows in her hometown.

Megan has always had an inspiration to pursue a career in music; music lessons and numerous ensembles enabled her to gain a solid foundation in theory, sight reading, and ear training before she began her study at the university level. As part of her undergraduate work, Megan was immersed in film theory and American cinema classes. In the music department she rigorously studied music theory, ear training, composition, and orchestration. In addition, her minor in Electronic Music allowed her to explore composition and recording through electronic means. The Electronic Music minor familiarized Megan with music technology as she completed several projects in sound design, video scoring, and several student films. Her current studies at the Berklee College of Music have included more in-depth training of arrangement, orchestration, film scoring, and songwriting. Megan now specializes in orchestration and electronic mediums.
